Venki Raman: The energy of a leader in times of rapid change
By 2050, every third Czech will be over 65 years old, and the number of people over 85 will be up to five times higher than it is today. These figures on one hand reflect the advancement of our society, a healthier environment, and better medical care, but on the other hand, they also highlight a trend we need to prepare for.
One group that should start thinking differently about the aging population is employers. In twenty years, there will be a shortage of 700,000 jobs. “We should consider how to engage all generations and harness their potential,” explains Taťána Brzobohatá about the potential hidden in people of retirement age.
In this context, the foundation team contributes, for example, with the Zlatá práce project. It helps people over 50 prepare for interviews, improve their resumes, or find companies with inclusive environments. Losing a job could mean the end of their economically active life.
