Ján Košturiak: The last will be first

He has connected his personal and professional journey with the social center Dobrý pastier. Dobrý pastier is home to 700 clients and 150 employees, many of whom are former clients, together creating a functional community based on recycling, working with animals, and mutual support. Košturiak believes that in an era of rapid technological advancement, it is important to remain human and connect successful people with those on the margins of society, as the difference between them is often not as great as it seems.

Ján Košturiak

Ján Košturiak was the youngest professor and worked at the largest company focused on applied research and innovation – Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. He collaborated with entrepreneurs who founded companies in the 1990s in the Czech Republic and Slovakia such as Linet, ESET, Švec Group, Borcad, Fosfa, Emilovy sady, Gremi Klima, V Podlahy, KOMA Modular, 2N Telekomunikace, Pivovar Bernard, Kros, OMS, Ipesoft, and others. Many of his students were entrepreneurs at the Podnikatelská univerzita.

Ultimately, life led him to the organization Dobrý pastier – from working with the wealthy and successful to helping the poor and socially excluded. Ján believes that there are principles in life and business that remain unchanged, even though today everyone focuses on digitalization, artificial intelligence, and various revolutions.
