Although the world has changed dramatically over at least the last 5,000 years, the human species remains essentially the same.
However, we have one advantage. Our minds are incredibly flexible, and thanks to our ability to learn, we can adapt to changes in our environment. While it used to be mainly about acquiring knowledge and skills, recent years have emphasized learning new areas—sorting information, evaluating it, communication, and collaboration. But to grow in these areas, we first need to clear our minds.

Who is Martin Poliačik

Martin Poliačik is one of the pioneers of academic debate in Slovakia. He has been dedicated to critical thinking, argumentation theory, and rhetoric since 1996. He served as the executive director of the Slovak Debate Association, taught at a Montessori school, and was an active Slovak and European politician for 10 years. His argumentation courses are based on his many years of experience. At the Academy of Critical Thinking, which he co-founded, he now primarily focuses on consulting with individual clients. He currently serves as deputy director of the Kyiv branch of the organization GLOBSEC.
