What generational differences are a myth and which ones are really worth taking seriously.

Today, four generations meet in one workplace, and most of what we hear about them are memes and trainings that turn colleagues into "us versus them." The differences between generations are real, but not always there and not always for the reasons we attribute to them.

With Laura Blažeková, we’ll look at what the generational perspective really explains, where it turns into a stereotype, and what companies do in practice—from mentoring to skill exchange across ages. What works in a company usually works outside of it too, in families and communities.

We opened the Slovak Brain & Breakfast series with the question of how technology leaves us alone (Vladimír Šucha), and continued with what of the human survives the algorithm (Daniel Hevier). Now we ask what people of different ages at the same table can give each other.

Who is Laura Blažeková

Laura Blažeková is the co-founder of the Slovak company Allheads and an expert in intergenerational dynamics in the workplace.
