Design has a fundamental impact on the quality of our lives, whether it’s communication design, service and process design, or application design. It can be good, bad, or even harmful. As an example, Dodo will present projects that resonated in society during the pandemic or the current war conflict between Ukraine and Russia. He will also introduce his new project, which aims to support people affected by the influence of the information war we are exposed to.

Who is Dodo Dobrík

Dodo Dobrík is a long-time designer with a broad range of experience from motion design, through advertising communication and branding, to application development. He is the only Slovak designer to hold a prestigious award from the global design-advertising competition AD&D. He has created more than 600 book covers, mainly for fiction and literary works.

He co-founded and led a full-service advertising agency for several years. He developed chatbots in his own startup bot.media. During the pandemic, the bot.media team created a tool to provide neutral information about Covid19. The chat was the only private partner of the National Health Information Center for distributing Covid19 information to the general public in the first weeks, thanks to its versatility and accessibility. He is a co-author of the tool for automated communication Scena.ai.

As an external collaborator, he worked for the Slovak Government Office in the Security Council Office department, which was responsible for strategic communication. Currently, he is involved in the weapon collection for Ukraine Dárek pro Putina and is launching a project to support people negatively affected by disinformation.
