What does it take to get your first career opportunity? What does it really mean to become an intern or to hire one? What kind of work will you handle for the first time?
First Chance introduces you to the stories of ordinary young members of the emerging Generation Z and their journey from school benches to current employment in companies. You will learn about the steps they took, what they had to do to get their first chance, and how their path has developed since then. At the same time, we’ll also look at the other side of the coin—how employers work with them.
People who gave them their first chance will reveal how their company works with interns, what they do for their development, what tasks they assign, and how they integrate them into the team. What is the real goal of giving them their first chance and whether these goals are being met.
The show is hosted by Tomáš Hülle and Martin Vítek, who specialize in working with youth on their development in specific fields such as law, business, architecture, design, and information technology, as well as in broader skills like entrepreneurship and innovation.
Who will guide you through the show?
Martin Vítek
Martin je zakladatelem Nadačního fondu vzdělávání a podnikání, programu Soutěž & Podnikej a komunity mladých podnikavých lidí Traion. Jeho posláním je vytvářet podnikatelské Česko vytvářením poutavých a působivých vzdělávacích osnov pro studenty středních škol. Nadace se nezaměřuje jen na vytváření vlastních materiálů, ale také na spolupráci s regionálními vládami a pomoc při řešení jejich potřeb.
Martin je také součástí týmu, který reviduje vzdělávací osnovy pro české středoškolské vzdělávání. Kromě toho má za sebou historii crowdfundingu a investování do nemovitostí.
Tomáš Hülle
Tomáš je zakladatelem European Centre for Career Education (ECCEDU) a Xflow.cz. Jeho cílem je učinit vzdělávání relevantním a s maximálním dopadem pomocí přímého zapojení nejvýznamnějších firem a institucí. Tomáš dříve pracoval jako ředitel investiční společnosti First Eastern, konzultant čínské právní kanceláře Co-Effort, založil vzdělávací projekt Prague Summer School on International Business Transactions. Kromě toho dále pracoval pro několik nejvýznamnějších světových advokátních kanceláří a byl také odpovědný za právní témata deníku Hospodářské noviny a týdeníku Ekonom. Kromě toho se Tomáš podílel také na práci dvou expertních skupin Spojených národů (UNCITRAL) a je externím přednášejícím na Institutu ekonomických studií FSV UK. Kromě České republiky byl také pozván jako přednášející na Oxford university či London School of Economics (GB), Arizona State University, George Washington University a John Marshall Law School (USA) a mnoho dalších světově významných univerzit, zejména potom v Číně – Beijing University či Tsinghua University.
