Who are the guests?
Matyáš Juřena
Matyáš Juřena is a graduate of the Institute of Economic Studies (IES) at Charles University. During his studies, he gained work experience—whether participating in cultural events like the Summer Film School Uherské Hradiště or the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, or more data-focused internships at the international consulting firm PwC and Prague’s OICT.
After his internship at Rockaway Academy, he joined kosik.cz, one of Rockaway Capital’s portfolio companies, full-time. Outside of work, he enjoys good food and sports—he is currently training for the most famous Czech triathlon, Czechman.
Jakub Losenický
Jakub Losenický studied economics at Charles University in Prague and also Business and Management at the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden. He worked in financial analysis at the Stockholm company SME Direkt and served as a consultant at EY Czech Republic. Additionally, during his studies, he gained some experience in journalism, mainly at Czech Radio. He founded his own startup, the auction platform Redukto, and although they ultimately didn’t break through the market, his passion for young companies and emerging projects remains.
Jakub, who is also an avid scout, was the first intern to complete Rockaway Academy and then receive an offer to stay with the company. After an intense engagement at kosik.cz, where he built the data platform from scratch, assembled the internal Business Intelligence team, and managed strategic projects and shareholder relations, he is now a member of the Rockaway Ventures team.
