Faulty communication ranks among the top causes of project failures in statistics. Why is that? And how can you avoid it in your projects?
Why watch this episode?
- We’ll take a close look at one of the most common causes of project failure – communication. We’ll discuss how to address problems caused by poor communication or, even better, how to prevent them.
- Effective communication doesn’t happen by itself; it needs to be built. Common obstacles include complex environments and a large number of diverse communication participants. The information shared serves as input for decision-making, so the consequences of misunderstandings can linger on a project for quite some time.
- This episode is useful for anyone actively dealing with complex or new projects, regardless of their role.
What will you take away?
- What are the specifics of project communication and where does the main problem lie?
- How to set up project conditions to enable smooth communication?
- How to avoid misunderstandings and misinterpretations of information that impact project success?
