After a slow start discussing what we’re currently reading, how we perceive the tense social situation, whether we plan in life, how we view fake news, and whether we think about a backup plan or just live day to day, our conversation gradually heated up with some really interesting insights.
“I wouldn’t go out without my phone anymore. And forgetting it at home? That just wouldn’t happen!” says Anička in the interview. “Giving up the internet for a month for 20,000 crowns? No way. Maybe for two hundred, and even that I can hardly imagine!”

Does Gen Z still carry a wallet? And a watch? Why are libraries now only for connoisseurs, and why would studying today be nearly impossible without the Ctrl+F keyboard shortcut? “We hardly ever call anymore, I only pick up for my parents and grandma,” Anička continues in the next part of the tie-break.
Boomers are still on WhatsApp, but we’re not. Facebook doesn’t interest me, maybe just Messenger.” Even the “older” Gen Z differs from the younger, teenage group. “We don’t do TikTok, that’s for the ones below us. We dressed like Bravíček, for them the role models are YouTubers and influencers.” “It doesn’t matter if you’re 40 or 55. Anyone with kids blends into one generation for me.” Wow! Even for the “strong 70s cohort,” today’s episode offers plenty of eye-openers…
