What will you learn during the episode?

  • Why it’s good to be a living organism (and to survive being alive for at least some time)
  • Why it’s not good to go into nature and love exotic faraway places
  • Where ionizing radiation got its fragile (and not entirely deserved) reputation
  • How malignant tumors are fought with precision down to the width of two hairs

Who is the guest?

Vladimír Vondráček

Vladimír Vondráček is responsible for irradiating tumors located in complex positions with precision to tenths of a millimeter. His main goal is to protect healthy tissue from radiation as much as possible while destroying those that threaten life. He founded the medical physics department at Thomayer Hospital and led a special department at Bulovka Hospital. Besides hard radiation, he also enjoys hard music and isn’t afraid to speak his mind.
