Who is Anna Hogenová?
Professor Anna Hogenová is a prominent Czech philosopher, writer, and representative of the mysterious science of phenomenology, which focuses on the precise study of phenomena through direct experience. A frequent theme in her work is the question of how we care for our soul, which she approaches from the perspective of being, soul, and existence. She leads the Department of Philosophy and Ethics at PedF UK (Faculty of Education, Charles University), and besides academic works, Anna Hogenová has written books for the general public that we definitely recommend reading.
Her life motto is: “Don’t let yourself be poisoned!” – she loves the philosophical works of Plato, Martin Heidegger, and Jan Patočka – and is the author of numerous books and scholarly publications on practical philosophy for life
