Leading yourself and others
The European Green Deal stirs emotions among the Czech public. When first asked whether people are FOR or AGAINST it, two-thirds say they are against it. However, once they become familiar with its basic pillars, over 90% agree with them. What prevents us from accepting, understanding, and putting the best of it into practice? Why does it evoke so many emotions? And did you know it’s far from being just about energy? In this online lecture, you will grasp its fundamentals and take away concrete information and interesting insights to understand that the occasional translation as "fate" is truly off the mark, because our joint work on fulfilling it can be not only meaningful but also a genuinely interesting business opportunity and finally a purposeful direction for all of us. We just need to understand it!
Who is Soňa Jonášová?
Soňa graduated in Agricultural Engineering from Mendel University in Brno. INCIEN (Institute for Circular Economy), which has also operated in Slovakia since 2016, was founded by her after studying and interning abroad in the Netherlands and Spain. Since 2014, she has actively promoted circularity and sustainability topics in the Czech Republic. She was involved in launching platforms such as the Czech Circular Hotspot and Change for the Better, because she sees connecting the right people within specific projects as key to transforming sustainability from words into action. She enjoys building bridges between worlds, for example by serving on advisory boards of public institutions (e.g., the Climate Issues Commission of the Government Office) and major companies (e.g., Škoda Auto), while also pursuing a PhD in social ecology at Charles University.
