Who is Jaroslav Petr?
Jaroslav Petr is a Czech biologist. He graduated from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, majoring in zootechnics. Since 1983, he has worked as a lead research scientist at the Research Institute of Animal Production in Prague Uhříněves. In 2004, he was appointed professor in the field of physiology, anatomy, and reproduction of farm animals. He lectures on biotechnology at the Faculty of Science at Charles University, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, and Masaryk University in Brno. For his science popularization efforts, which he has pursued since the 1990s, he received the Award of the Government Council for Research, Development and Innovation.
