Lukáš Bakoš: Should we learn from machines?
Petr Skondrojanis is in HOTV this time from Žďár nad Sázavou, where he talked with the co-founder and CEO of ICE Industrial Services, Tomáš Vránek. Tomáš often draws inspiration from special forces and task forces. The current version of their organizational structure and communication style refers to the book Teams of teams and the leadership of operations against the Islamic State, where decisions must be made in minutes, sometimes even seconds. Otherwise, lives are at stake. ICE makes decisions just as agilely.
What will you learn?
- What tools ICE uses for internal company communication
- Why they eliminated email
- How they manage to decide on a project worth 10 million CZK in just five minutes
Who is Tomáš Vránek?
Tomáš Vránek is the founder, co-owner, and chairman of the board of ICE Industrial Services a.s. His ideas and vision helped build the start-up into one of the fastest-growing automation companies.
ICE is the first industrial company in the Czech Republic to eliminate the traditional hierarchical pyramid structure and officially introduce a "bubble" organic structure based on self-management and holacracy. After six years, they have nearly 150 employees and revenues approaching 300 million CZK. The ICE team develops, manufactures, and automates production machines and lines worldwide.
