In large companies, politics often stand in the way, while in smaller fast-growing firms, friendships can be the barrier. Members of management teams must therefore be able to embrace diversity (the more, the better) and be willing to openly confront each other when making decisions and uncovering the real facts.

Why watch the episode?

  • You’ll get acquainted with a model of highly effective and healthy teams.

What will you take away?

  • You’ll understand why some teams perform better and are healthier than others.
  • You’ll discover the main team dysfunctions that paralyze both the health and performance of the entire team.
  • If you take part in the challenge, you can test how these dysfunctions affect your own team.

Who are the guests?

Jiří Vystrčil

Jiří Vystrčil studied mechanical engineering at VUT in Brno. After five years “on the shop floor,” he worked a few years in IT. Then he spent five years in finance before returning to the industry as head of automotive production at THK Rhythm Automotive Czech a.s. in Dačice. He has been serving as CEO of the same company for over ten years. His motto is that nothing is as bad as it seems, and you learn every day. It’s like walking up an escalator moving downwards—if you stop, you go down. Getting to the top takes effort and constant learning. Jiří played football for over 20 years (and it remains his favorite sport). Nowadays, he “only” cycles and enjoys Pilsner Urquell’s twelve-degree beer. His biggest daily challenge is overcoming his ego, which constantly tries to prove to others and himself that he can do things better than everyone else. His greatest joy comes from people collaborating and things working smoothly.

Aleš Čech

Aleš Čech graduated from the Faculty of Arts in Olomouc, majoring in Andragogy, and has spent his entire career in HR management roles. For the past six years, he has worked as HR manager at THK Rhythm Automotive Czech a.s. in Dačice. He lives for football, history, and photography.
