People are naturally independent, so why don’t they behave that way at work? Do we show them that we fully trust them, or do we lack the courage and prefer to make decisions for them?
Our three guests, along with the guide, will share how they encourage people in their companies to demonstrate sufficient independence and take responsibility for their actions and projects. We’ll also cover some theory and explore what Frederic Laloux’s book, Reinventing Organizations, says about vision.

Who are the guests?
Miloš Malaník
Miloš Malaník was born in Brno, where he studied economics and controlled engineering at VUT. From an early age, he was interested in transportation, initially as a hobby, which he has maintained to this day. He began his logistics career in the 1990s, working his way up from courier to branch manager in Brno. Over his more than twenty-year career in international parcel delivery, he has held local and regional management positions. He has served as a top manager at DHL Express, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Ceva Logistics, and TNT Express.
For over four years now, he has been CEO of DPD Czech Republic and Regional Manager for CEE. DPD is the largest private carrier on the Czech market. Besides its core delivery operations, the parent company DPDgroup has invested since 2012 in the DrivingChange program to offset its carbon footprint. The company also supports organizations like Světluška, Arkádie, and the Clean Up Czechia initiative.
Radek Majer
Radek Majer founded his company, TTC Teleport, in 2015. He now leads a team of 21 people who operate with complete transparency and provide data center services in a way that’s very different from the market norm. An open business model, tailor-made services for specific customers, a focus on ecology, sustainability, and a free organizational structure are reasons why TTC Teleport is one of the most interesting tech companies in the Czech Republic.
Radek has always been guided by technical skills and pragmatism but found his calling in changing old and established procedures and approaches. He says he’s terrified of doing the same things others have already invented and use. He changes things around him to make sense for himself and his colleagues. Perhaps that’s why he compares daily tasks at TTC Teleport to imaginary balloons that each employee “deflates” every morning to choose who they will be that day — an electrician or support.
Dita Stejskalová
