Komenský 350 years ago, and he tirelessly insisted that true education means "knowing good, wanting good, doing good, even when no one is watching." How do we learn goodness? How is a good personality formed? Humanity? Good character?
Who is Jan Hábl?
Jan Hábl is a husband, father, educator, and komeniologist. After studying philosophy of education at the University of Wales, he worked as an English teacher, conducted research at the Komenský Institute in Prague, and lectured at universities in Hradec Králové and Ústí nad Labem in fields at the intersection of pedagogy, anthropology, ethics, and history of education. He is the author of both scholarly and literary titles, such as Labyrint upgrade.
