Otto Bohuš, a master of words and teacher of sales copywriting, says about the book.

The fundamental text of Taoism, which has been one of the main sources of Chinese thought for more than two thousand years. It is the most frequently translated Chinese text into Western languages and is now considered one of the key works of world philosophy.
According to an ancient Chinese legend, Laozi wrote this work in four days. Tao te ching summarizes the teachings of the Old Master, teaching the philosophy of life as perceived by the ancient Chinese. Laozi wanted to leave the imperial court and retreat into seclusion. However, at the border, a guard recognized the Master and did not allow him to leave until he wrote down all his teachings. Once Laozi recorded his thoughts, he left the city on an ox and was never seen again.
The book Tao te ching is one of the fundamental books of the world and the main source of Chinese painting and poetry. In 1973, the oldest known texts of the book were uncovered on silk scrolls in the Ma-wang-tui tomb, but the real sensation came only a few years ago when a text of Tao from 350 BC was excavated in another tomb in Guodian. This discovery has the same significance as the Dead Sea Scrolls had for biblical studies.
