In his lecture “Human 21,” Karel Janeček briefly introduced his background and projects, then focused on the weaknesses of current electoral systems. He went on to demonstrate the advantages of the D21 voting system, including several examples related to choosing a restaurant, a free drink, and the Prezident 21 project. At the end of the lecture, he shared his vision of an optimistic future and answered numerous questions from the audience. Among other things, we hope this lecture will reveal what lies behind the commonly known term billionaire Janeček. ;-)
What was covered in the lecture?
- Why you can no longer become a billionaire the same way as Karel Janeček – 08:29
- The Achilles’ heels of current electoral systems and the kinds of people who unfortunately gain power because of them – 22:25
- What fate would await parties like KSČM or ANO in elections using Janeček’s method? – 47:47
- How to subtly get corrupt politicians to cut off the branch they’re sitting on – 01:02:45
Who is Karel Janeček?
Karel Janeček is probably best known to the public as the founder of RSJ, a successful market maker on global stock exchanges that propelled this eccentric mathematician into the ranks of billionaires. Fortunately, it can’t be said that Janeček simply accumulated wealth without thought – his roles as a patron and anti-corruption activist were major reasons we invited him to give this lecture. :-)
Today, when someone mentions the “Karel Janeček foundation,” the inevitable question is “Which one?” His name is associated with projects like the Neuron Endowment Fund, the Anti-Corruption Endowment Fund (founded by the trio Janeček – Stanislav Bernard – Jan Kraus), and many others. Currently, he devotes most of his time to the Institut H21 project, which aims to create a better future for humanity through technology. He is also known for his innovative voting method D21 – Janeček’s method, which, according to him, should help eliminate negative phenomena such as corruption, societal division, and aggressive election campaigns. He tested the method, for example, in the nationwide game Prezident 21, which simulated the 2018 presidential election.
