Learning path

Leadership

This learning path won’t turn you into a leader, but we want to inspire you and show you the path some great leaders have taken. You will meet Tomáš Baťa along with six other successful leaders of today.

This time, we have organized the RB EDU content into 4 modules: from a brief dive into leadership theory and practical leader perspectives, through a stop at J. Kotter, the journey of T. Baťa, to motivation and integrity.

Let yourself be inspired and take what will be most valuable for you as a leader. And since we’re on the topic of inspiration, let’s start with some reflections on a few leadership quotes:

“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.” (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)

“He who has never learned to listen himself cannot be a good leader.” (Aristotle)

“You can’t lead others by pointing somewhere and telling them to go there. You lead them by going there yourself.” (Ken Kesey)

“When I give a minister an order, I leave it to him to find the way to carry it out.” (Napoleon Bonaparte)

“The art of leadership is saying ‘no,’ not saying ‘yes.’” (Tony Blair)

A leader should be slow to punish but quick to reward.” (Ovid)

“Those who have great power should use it gently.” (Seneca)

“You have to earn your leadership every day.” (Michael Jordan)

“The most important quality in leadership is integrity.” (Dwight Eisenhower)

Learning path content

Congratulations, you have just reached the end of the learning path. But maybe it’s also the beginning of testing and applying your newly acquired knowledge in practice. Now it’s up to you how you use it, how you apply it, and how it serves you and the people on your team. We’d be glad if you share with us what works well for you in practice and what turns out to be a dead end.
