Who is Josef Šlerka?
Josef Šlerka is an expert in symbols and data analysis, especially in social media data analysis. He is also a co-author of the Atlas of conspiracy theories project, which maps individual narratives and their spread across the internet. He currently serves as the head of the New Media Studies department at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
According to the jury that awarded him the Personality of the Year award within the Crystal Magnifying Glass in 2014, he is a versatile personality, educator, scientist, visionary, inspirer, and punk. From 2017 to 2021, Josef Šlerka led the Independent Journalism Foundation (NFNZ).
