Dominik Michna, a member of the Red Button network, talks about the book.

We are in the middle of a revolution. Tremendous technological advances enable organizations to track and measure people’s behavior in real time, communicate internally at extraordinary speed, and continuously innovate. These new software-driven technologies are changing the way companies interact with their customers, employees, and other stakeholders.
This is not just a technical issue. This transformation requires a complete rethink of how work is organized and managed. And since software is increasingly integrated into all products and services, implementing this major change is rapidly becoming a key operational challenge for businesses of all kinds. We need a management model that not only accounts for constant change but truly embraces it. The truth is, however, that most organizations still rely on outdated operational models from the industrial era. They structure their teams, manage their people, and develop their organizational cultures the way they always have.
Now, organizations that are built on the ability to sense and respond immediately to customer and employee behavior are emerging and thriving. In Sense and Respond, Jeff Gothelf and Josh Seiden, leading technology experts and founders of the global Lean UX movement, use vivid and instructive examples to show how these companies operate and highlight the new mindset and skills needed to lead and manage them — and to continuously innovate within them.
This engaging and practical book offers a crucial new model of operation and management that will help you and your organization succeed in a world of constant change.
