As Aleš Pokorný, head of internal training at PWC and representative of the Dobrodružné výchovy v přírodě foundation, says:
"I live outdoors, I don’t need simulations like gyms for my life,” Aleš continues. He describes himself as a guide for people on a gradual journey out of their comfort zone. In today’s continuation of CZECHárna, Aleš and I talked about how to transform intense experiences into new skills that improve children’s learning ability, support sensitivity, resilience, and deepen friendships. We discussed programs the foundation is trying to expand into schools and extracurricular activities. “Strict legislation, our excessive caution, and protective umbrella over children mean they hardly ever leave their comfort zone, where the learning zone begins. Here, the ghost of dangerism haunts us. My goal is to establish the right to adventure.”

Aleš has dedicated his life to education, both in business and beyond work. He organizes not only multi-day adventurous expeditions for children but also brings playfulness into adult education in leadership development. Not just learning through play at school, but also play at work! Comenius would be pleased with this approach! And our interview with Aleš in the new CZECHárna will surely delight you too.
