As expected, we got to how the world is changing live in the first weeks of Trumpism 2.0. Is Western democracy in crisis? Is our world heading toward apocalypse? That might be a strong claim, but according to Bob, Donald Trump is not the biggest threat. Bob Kartous sees the greatest threat in a suite of very wealthy technocrats who paraded in the front row at the inauguration speech… Musk, Thiel, Zuckerberg. Are they motivated by protecting their own business or a desire for power? Probably something different for each. Similar cheerleaders who downplay the American shift away from democracy are becoming louder here as well.

As Europe, we are not in good shape today, neither security-wise nor economically. The key for us now is to maintain a certain degree of sovereignty. “History never repeats itself,” says Bob. “The old world is crumbling beneath our hands, and many people feel uneasy in uncertainty. We can’t be sure of the future at all. No one wants a conventional war. But we have actually been at war on the modern virtual battlefield for a long time.” We need to watch out for specialists who may be geniuses in technology and business but have no clue how to run society.

Who is the guest?

Bob Kartous

Bob Kartous is an education expert, publicist, and fighter against disinformation. A person with very clear, sharp opinions on socio-political topics, which spark numerous debates under many of his posts in today’s divided society.
